Moving Files from your PC to OneDrive
Please Note: The backup process will need time to finish uploading files to OneDrive after copying them over. Please leave your computer on and connected to the internet until the synchronization is complete (indicated by a blue OneDrive icon in the dock with no spinning wheel overlayed).
Step 1:
Open the “File Explorer” application on your computer (a shortcut is hitting the Windows Key + E Key)
Step 2:
On the left-hand side, look for a tab that says OneDrive. If you do not see OneDrive listed here, please read the instructions at the end of this guide to install OneDrive on your computer. Note that you do not need administrative privileges to complete the installation.
If you have not already signed in with OneDrive on your device, it will prompt you to sign in with your Office 365 account (FUS Email and password).
You will want to copy files from each location on your machine (Desktop, Downloads, Documents, Pictures, Etc.) as well as any special locations on your C Drive.

- In the OneDrive folder your created, go to the appropriate section (i.e. Desktop) by double clicking it, right click in the blank space, and select “Paste”
- Repeat the above steps for all other folders you would like to backup
Step 4:
Keep your computer powered on and connected to the internet until the blue OneDrive icon in the bottom right dock is finished synchronizing (example below).
